Staff Writer Bluey is a television show with three seasons centered around six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy named Bluey who lives with her mum, dad, and her little sister, Bingo. Bluey and Bingo have so many adventures with their friends Chloe, Lucky, Honey, Pom-Pom, and more. Bluey can be watched on Disney+ and Prime Video by anyone regardless of age, and there are a variety of relatable story lines and points of conflict.. The cartoon was created by Joe Brumm, an Australian animator, who based the show around his experiences while raising his two daughters. The show has been known to encourage parents to channel their inner child and participate in imaginative play with their children. In the season two episode titled “Seesaw,” Bluey, Bingo, Pom Pom, and Mum are all playing a clothes-washing game where they pretend to be unfolded laundry flying in the wind. During their game, Pom Pom finds that it is too hard participating in the game due to her size. She then runs to her mom feeling sad that she can not play the game. Bluey and Bingo decide to play a different game, seesaws, in which their dad sits on the end of a teeter-totter and does not move. Bluey and her sister try everything that they can think of: complaining to their mum, getting their friends to weigh it down, but nothing works. After getting all the friends that they can on to the seesaw, Bluey and friends remember that Pom Pom is still at the park. They ask for her help, and Pom-Pom agrees. They are finally able to get the seesaw to have more weight on their side. Bluey and Bingo get their dad to fall off and get to continue having an enjoyable time with their friends. Dad falling off of the seesaw was the funniest thing in the episode. Even when it feels that there is an infeasible problem, it is not as long as you have your friends. Bluey is one of those shows that allows the viewer to either binge a bunch or throw on an episode or two and still be very enjoyable. One of the many reasons to watch Bluey is that many people can relate to it, and it portrays how parents can engage in imaginative games with their kids. Parents can also learn a lot from this show. For example, parents can learn how to appeal to kids. Some watch the show because one of their friends recommended it or they have a kid who enjoys it or maybe even a niece or nephew that watches it when visiting. Overall, Bluey is a family-friendly show that can appeal to many, if not all different age groups, and gives people a wholesome laugh.
