Throughout Bonneville High School, there are multiple events that are happening to spread kindness, such as Hope Week. Most Bonneville students have proven to be kind, positive, and considerate. Bonneville High School spreads bee pride city wide with their encouraging ways to become better people and asking for help with drives and fundraisers. Every little thing can put a smile on someone’s face if there is kindness behind it. Here are some of the numerous acts of kindness that have been spotted during this trimester:
  • Helping someone pick up dropped books
  • Letting someone sit with you at lunch
  • Spreading compliments
  • Sending someone a candy gram
  • Writing positive notes and putting them on lockers and stalls
  • Paying for someone else at the vending machine
  • Giving others pieces of gum
  • Telling your teacher how appreciated they are
  • Letting someone else borrow a chromebook charger
  • Opening the door for someone
  • Asking someone to a dance
  • Helping decorate the school
  • Sharing snacks in class
  • Smiling at someone
  • Waving at someone
  • Helping people that fall up or down the stairs
  • Closing someone's open backpack
  • Catching someone's flying papers
  • Listening to someone's problems
  • Helping someone with classwork
  • Helping a teacher with their classroom work
  • Thanking someone
  • Giving someone some candy
There are many ways to make someone’s day; seeing someone smile and feeling accepted is a fantastic reward. Random acts of kindness can be passed on from one person to another, creating a chain reaction. For an example of an act of kindness, Idaho Falls has a coat wall, where if someone needs a coat they can grab one. For instance, if someone’s coat is too small they can hang it up and grab a different one. People can give a coat, take a coat, or both. Either way, there are quite a few ways the community spreads kindness, such as food drives, blood drives and other events that will help the area become stronger.
From Bonneville High school throughout the city of Idaho Falls, there are thousands of people that need a pick me up. Giving someone the validation that kindness is still within the community may just spread more positivity. Spread the acts of kindness, and have bee pride!
