September 11, 2001 involved a series of terrorists who hijacked U.S. passenger flights and crashed into the World Trade Center and Pentagon. The hijackers were affiliated with the radical militant group known as the Islamic al Qaeda. In the next three hours, the Twin Towers crumbled and crashed down. Of the four plane crashes, two of them went to New York, and the third hit the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. While the fourth Plane crashed down in Shanksville Park, Pennsylvania. The attack of 9/11 happened because terrorists wanted Americans to be afraid of more attacks. On the 10th anniversary on the 11th of September, 9/11. A memorial was held in the World trade center complex and about 430 companies from 28 different countries, in the building. Under the World Trade Center, there is a museum of all the people that died on the plane, sharing their life stories.
All the planes had started off their routes well, passengers picked up from each respected airport for every plane. When Al Qaeda started hijacking all of the planes, relocating them from the original destination. Every person’s life on those planes changed from the moment the hijacking started. America changed that fateful day, over 2,000 lives lost while friends and families devastating over their loved ones. All 19 of the Qaeda terrorists died as well that day to cause such a grievous act.  All the while America had grown closer as a community and country.  Helping people who live who were caught in the tragic act. Even Barack Obama commented that “the smallest act of kindness is [a] way of honoring those [who were] lost on the plane[s] to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.”
